Down The Mississippi River Delta
We figured that a putt down the Mississippi River Delta would make a great day trip. According to the map there is a road on both the east and west side of the Mississippi running south. The east side ends about half way down where you cross over by ferry to the west bank. It was a nice ride but, (you were expecting the but right?) what we didnt figure on was the levee that runs the length of the river. Basically you ride along a 20 foot high bank for a hundred miles and dont get to see much of the river until you get on the ferry at Pointe a la Hache. Oh well, a ride is a ride.
