Floating to Galveston Island
Galveston is only about 50 miles south of Houston, so why pass up the opportunity for a ride south a few miles. Given that both Joe and Brian feel the same way about freeways, they suck, we took the scenic route down to Galveston. Scenic at least after we finally managed to get out of Houston. It was a great day for a putt and we took full advantage. Once off the ferry on Galveston Island (yes it is an island) we rode along the sea wall then dropped down on The Strand (the old town section) for lunch and window shopping.
