After three days and two nights in San Antonio we headed back to La Marque via US Alt 90. The weather was warmer which made a day of riding in the rain tolerable.
Originally the plan about the end of February was to head back to Arizona for Shawn & Mikes wedding on March 15th. Unfortunately, Joes dad took a turn for the worse. He'd been suffering from advanced Prostate Cancer for the last 8 months and it was starting to catch up to him.
Consequently, we departed LeMarque almost immediately upon or return from San Antonio. Although we had to get back to Arizona ASAP, we did take the opportunity to stay off the interstate across most of Texas. By doing so we discovered that Luchenback Texas is a REAL place!!
